The sound for the movie wasn't a problem as many of the surrounding vehicles radio's make the audio sufficient and many people brought portable radio's. Other foods looked good but can't comment on those. The pretzels were old, dry and genuinely gross and wouldn't recommend. Typical movie snack bar fare with the added option of a bar and real food i.e. We went to the concession stand because we were denied that privilege when we were kids and get something "because we could!". It was the opening night for The Incredibles 2 and it was BUSY to say the least! Parking is cramped and we saw 2 accidents almost immediately as the attendant was trying to get people to move closer to allow more cars and it became kind of nerve wracking.
We took my 1968 Chevelle here for that old time feel and it was fun! I think our whole team may be spending a lot of time at the Coyote Drive-In this summer – nothing beats the nostalgia of watching a movie on a big screen from the hood of a car.We've been trying to get here since it opened and finally got the chance.

Named one of Fort Worth’s “hidden gems” by the Dallas Morning News, Coyote Drive-In provides an awesome outdoor movie-viewing experience.īut Denton County residents will no longer have to make the trek out to Fort Worth to enjoy the Coyote Drive-In experience because Coyote Theater LLC was recently approved by the Lewisville City Council to build a drive-in theater on the corner of Holford’s Prairie Road and Midway just a couple of blocks from the Sam Rayburn Tollway.Īnd the Lewisville location is planned to be even bigger and better than the Fort Worth location with five screens offering double features (versus Fort Worth’s three screens), an open-air pavilion, a kids’ play area and a 10,000-square-foot restaurant! And the owners are also working on plans to include a beer garden within the massive restaurant space!

Last Monday night the Lewisville City Council approved an amended special use permit for the theater, meaning that construction can now begin in October with an expected completion of June 2016! After a very wet Spring and Summer, delaying construction, I’m so happy to hear that the project is back on track!
